Café Ballistico ran an independent gallery/venue in Elmhurst, IL showcasing local visual artists & bands in a warm, inviting, creative & quirky atmosphere. For nearly two years we brought together a wide range of artists, musicians and fans to celebrate art in all its forms. We hosted our first festival in Yorksville, IL (BallisticoFest 2004)
The first Café Ballistico was torn down but, you can still visit our original website to see what it was like.
Since receiving Non-For-Profit status in 2004, Café Ballisitico is currently looking to buy or lease an art and music space in Chicago that can hold 200 - 500 guests to host art openings, live music, live performance, including cultural and education events. Good potential spaces include theaters, churches, concert halls etc. You can help by spreading the word or getting in touch with us by using the contact form to the left. Check this website every so often for updates and news.
The new Café Ballistico Gallery and Venue Space will house everything from art openings to concerts to music lessons to community benefits and beyond all in the classic grassroots tradition and atmosphere of Café Ballistico. Eventually, the addition of a varied menu of organic local food and wide assortment of refeshments will complete the Café as a full sensory experience.
